No, we cannot guarantee permanent storage. While we strive to maintain archives long-term, technical issues, server costs, and other factors may affect availability over time.

Do you delete archived web pages?

We only delete archived web pages when required by a valid court order or DMCA notice that specifically identifies the URL to be removed.

How long does it take to archive a webpage?

Most web pages are archived within 1-3 minutes. Complex pages with lots of images or interactive content may take longer to fully capture.

What types of content can be archived?

We can archive most public web pages including HTML content, images, CSS, and JavaScript. However, dynamic content requiring user interaction may not be fully captured.

Can I archive the same URL multiple times?

You can only archive the same URL once per day. If you try to archive a URL that was already archived today, you'll be shown the existing archive with an option to create a fresh copy.

Are there any restrictions on what I can archive?

We do not archive illegal content, copyrighted material without permission, or content that violates our terms of service. Some domains may be blocked for technical or legal reasons.

How can I share my archived pages?

Each archive gets a unique short URL (like https://archive.st/abc123) that you can share with anyone. The archive page also provides direct links to view the screenshot and full archive.

What happens if the original webpage goes offline?

Your archive will remain accessible even if the original webpage is deleted or goes offline. That's the whole point of archiving - preserving content for the future!
