Description
*Axiomele infinităţii* or *Assiomi dell'infinità* (2017), is a Romanian-Italian bilingual collection of philosophical poems by Dumitru Găleşanu. The works reproduced in the volume condense in their substance poetic and aesthetic perceptions, notions and metaphysical deductions, which value the « technological wonders » of humanity, the author revealing subtle harmonies in the volutes of fragile life through existential reflections in a cosmic context, starting from the contingent to reach a lyrical, philosophical and rational expressiveness on life, movement, death and knowledge. Transmuting the *axiom of infinity* into the archetype of primordial love, the contrast between light-darkness, finite-infinity, life-death, obverse-reverse, man-demiurge-universe becomes the central axiomatic point, and poetic thought, transgressing the «limits» of human-subjective time, offers us a ray of hope and an oasis of tranquility, a sample of symmetry, order and balance in the maelstrom of our daily concerns. Truth is light, metaphysical meaning and a living parable of the knowing man, mirrored by lucid thinking and secular spirituality. By looking for the infinities not in space, but in ourselves, Găleșanian philosophical poetry becomes « cosmic and universal », giving meaning to self-consciousness.
