News media is a vicious circle of mutual manipulation, mythmaking, and self-interest.
Journalists need crises to dramatize news.
Too often, the crises are not really crises but joint fabrications.
News can change perceptions, and perceptions often become reality.
Adverse leaks or innuendos about a government official often lead to his or her loss of influence, resignation, or dismissal.
The stock market is also fertile ground for planted stories.
Rumors or allegations spread by short sellers often drive a stock’s price down.
There may be nothing wrong with either the official’s performance or the stock’s value, but the willingness of the press to report innuendos and rumors as news changes reality.
News media has created a charade that serves their own interests and misleads the public.
Corrupt individuals oblige the media’s need for drama by fabricating crises and stage-managing their responses, thereby enhancing their own prestige and power.
Journalists dutifully report those fabrications.
The subjects of such reports, which are usually fabrications created by opponents, must be prepared to defend themselves instantly.
The mere appearance of a disparaging report in the press changes perceptions and, unless effectively rebutted, will change reality and the truth.
News often has a dual identity, an external façade and an internal reality.
On the surface there is a made-up public story put out for the purpose of manipulating others in ways favorable to the story makers.
Behind that is another story, known to those immediately involved and to outsiders with the knowledge to decode it, concerning the making of the public story & the private objectives it is meant to advance.
The two stories, or realities, are often wildly at odds with each other.
Wary of making decisions based on opinion or belief, the U.S. public has come to rely on facts, data, surveys, and presumably scientific studies.
People are increasingly reluctant to believe any assertion that is not supported by statistical research.
Yet, more and more of the information we use to buy, elect, advise, acquit and heal has been created not to expand our knowledge but to sell a product or advance a cause.
Advocates of policy positions and companies promoting products often misuse scientific research to further their objectives.
The press swarms on big stories, which have all the necessary dramatic elements.
Public outcry simply overwhelms scientific evidence.
When people don’t have personal experience or sound information, they can easily be persuaded by a crisis story.
Concocted or inaccurate surveys and studies taint our perceptions of what is true, and they distort public policy debates.
The media’s desire for drama encourages the distortion and corruption of public decision making.
The media are willing victims of bad information, and increasingly they are producers of it.
They take information from self-interested parties and add to it another layer of self-interest—the desire to sell information.
In such an environment, the actors who most skillfully create and manipulate crises determine the direction of change.
Media companies routinely use research studies to promote products or positions.
The U.S. public’s faith in so-called scientific research gives the studies impact, even when they contradict common sense and are patently self-serving.
Media correspondents sacrifice coverage of important but undramatic long-term trends in favor of dramatic events whose real importance may be minimal.
One consequence of the prevalence of propaganda in the press is that the public’s confidence in all institutions gradually erodes.
As people begin to realize that they are being misled, manipulated, and lied to, they resent it.
The decline in confidence reflects a widening feeling that the news media are contentious, unfair, inaccurate, and under the thumb of powerful institutions.
Imagine the dysfunction of a party who can’t stop lying to itself.
There is nothing about them that speaks truth.
Lying, Godless, Marxists want to destroy the most prosperous free nation on earth...they lie to each other, sell out America, and kill their babies in doing so.
Lying is to the left what breathing is to biological life.
The left has always relied on lies to gain and retain power.
This is as true today in the United States as it was in the Soviet Union.
These are just some of the left-wing lies increasing numbers of Americans believe. America's survival depends on Americans -- especially young Americans -- recognizing them as such.
Media bias in the United States occurs when US media outlets skew information, such as reporting news in a way that conflicts with standards of professional journalism or promoting a political agenda through entertainment media.
“They Took a Victory from Donald Trump and They Called it a Lie…This Country is Under Attack.” – Attorney Lin Wood On Why He Joined Trump’s Legal Team - published November 2020 thegatewaypundit.com/2020/11/took-v…
"Then all the sudden every network started doing what they do best - lying to the American public.
They took a victory from Donald Trump & called it a lie.
They took a defeat from Joe Biden, lied, & said he won.
Then they sent you to bed, turning off the count of the vote."
"There is a cloud over this country.
And if we don’t get it right and we don’t figure out what happened that night, that cloud is going to get darker and darker until it turns into a storm cloud and we’re going to lose our freedom."
"So it is time to fight back…
…This is a constitutional crisis and if we don’t fix it and find out what happened and get it right, we’re going to lose our constitutional rights…"
"It’s time to tell the truth & be truthful and face the truth.
This country is under attack.
This was nothing more than a revolution.
They’re trying to take away your rights.
They’re trying to take away your Constitution.
They’re trying to take away ultimately your freedom."
We are plagued with a dishonest, unreliable, unserious, dangerous media, driven only by political calculation and naked greed.
The media are so evil and indecent, even a pandemic can’t cure them.
Keep in mind, these are not mistakes. Mistakes are random. Mistakes fall both ways. Our fake news media’s “mistakes” fall only one way — in the direction of ginning up panic in our streets and hatred of Trump and his supporters, who have already paid a very heavy price.

(note: I do not endorse the article from the Hill - in the above tweet - as it defames POTUS (fook you The Hill!) but it does point out some interesting truths about Obama...who was the worst president in this history of our country.)

Biden’s Global Media Guy Argues Against Free Speech, FOR Propaganda
Some journalists and fake news outlets can’t help themselves.
The media distorts, misleads, takes statements out of context, treats assumptions as facts, and seems to want to sow as much fear as possible.
This is irresponsible in a time when our nation needs the opposite.

They come at long last to the tenth and final ditch of the eighth circle. Here we find the liars—those who perpetrate the purest form of fraud, the one that unites all the others. Their stench is overwhelming.
The liars and the counterfeiters rot away, consumed by diseased corruption.
Pervasive lying—whether in words or coin—is the decay of a republic, because it makes relationships between persons impossible.
No one will accept coin for his goods unless he knows that the currency is good; no one can learn from another if everyone lies.
Every value it has is false… All intercourse is corrupted, every affirmation has become perjury, and every identity a lie. No medium of exchange remains to it, and ‘the general bond of love and nature’ is utterly dissolved.”
If interpersonal exchange is impossible, then so, too, is any hope of mutual benefit, or common striving for a common good. Only competition and enmity can remain. And so the punishment here goes beyond bodily disease.
In many ways, the company of other sinners is their worst punishment. In other circles of the Inferno, the damned at least have some sense of companionship.
Patriots run together on the abominable sands, and even the panderers and seducers march together in orderly lockstep.
But the liars live in perpetual hate.
They run about “tearing and snapping… like tusked swine,” ripping any soul they find to pieces.
Consumed with grotesque and excruciating illness, they fight with fists and words.
They desire to see the damnation of their enemies more than relief from their own suffering.
All of this shows the corrosive effects of their lie.
All that remains for them is to wait for the violence of traitors & Satan himself.
The media lie, and politicians lie.
What is the public to do?
We are confronted, on the one hand, with riots and arson and armed bands clashing in the streets and a public paralyzed by inconsistent and nakedly politicized health advice in the face of pandemic on the other.
And there is the specter of further social breakdown as the election results draws nearer.
And still the guardians of public information lie.
Indeed, it is hard to see how they could behave any differently.
The media are, after all, wedded to lies on the things that matter most in life: the relation of God to man, man to woman, and parents to children.
How could we expect honesty on such comparative trivialities as pandemics or public health?
The people may, in the end, come to believe the big lie.
But lie often enough, and people will lose the ability to believe anything at all.
