No, we cannot guarantee permanent storage. While we strive to maintain archives long-term, technical issues, server costs, and other factors may affect availability over time. This applies to Free and Pro archives alike.

Most web pages are archived within a minute. Pages with lots of images or interactive content take longer, and video archives can take several minutes depending on length.

We can archive most public web pages including HTML content, images, CSS, and JavaScript. We store a full-page screenshot, a self-contained snapshot, and the rendered page. Content that requires signing in, or that loads only after user interaction, may not be fully captured.

Yes. Each submission creates a separate archive with its own short link, so you can capture how a page changes over time. Repeat captures count towards your hourly limit.

We do not archive illegal content, copyrighted material without permission, or content that violates our Terms of Service. We only archive publicly reachable addresses — private, internal and local network addresses are rejected. Some domains may be blocked for technical or legal reasons.

Each archive gets a unique short URL (like https://archive.st/abc12) that you can share with anyone. The archive page also links to the screenshot, the downloadable snapshot, and the archived page itself.

Your archive will remain accessible even if the original webpage is deleted or goes offline. That's the whole point of archiving — preserving content for the future! Archived pages are served entirely from our servers and do not call back to the original site.

No. Anyone can archive pages without signing up. An account lets you keep a list of your archives and is required for Pro.

We don't collect one. You choose a username and we generate a strong password and a recovery code for you. That means we hold no personal information about you, and there is nothing to leak. Pro members can optionally add a recovery email as a backup.

Use your recovery code at /reset to get a new password. Keep the credentials file we gave you at sign-up somewhere safe. If you lose both your password and your recovery code, your account cannot be recovered — we hold no other way to identify you. Pro members who added a confirmed recovery email can also recover by email.

Pro members can. Submitting a link from a supported video site downloads and stores the video itself alongside the page snapshot, up to 2.0 GB and 120 minutes per video. Free accounts still get a full page snapshot of the same URL, just without the video file.

Not exactly. Unlisted archives are hidden from the homepage and from day listings, but anyone who has the short link can still open one. Treat the link as the secret. Don't use unlisted archives for anything genuinely confidential.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Receipts and invoices come from Stripe, and you can manage your card and subscription from your account.
